ESG Policy

ESG Policy

ESG Policy

This policy is aimed at the firm’s key stakeholders, which includes our clients, our staff and other firms who engage with Barratt & Cooke (for example, accountants and solicitors).

The purpose of this policy is to highlight the key considerations relating to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors that we take into account in our dealings with these stakeholders. This policy is separate from the firm’s ESG investment policy.

Clients

In all of our dealings with clients, we will:

  • Act in an ethical and professional manner at all times
  • Ensure that we always communicate with clients in an honest and open manner
  • Assess where we can reduce our environmental impact when communicating with clients (for example, communicating electronically as opposed to sending postal correspondence where possible)

Staff

With regard to our staff, we will:

  • Aim to ensure the wellbeing and mindfulness of all staff
  • Provide a positive and inclusive working culture and environment
  • Assess where we can reduce our environmental impact in our day-to-day operations (for example, minimising printing and encouraging recycling)
  • Develop and support staff to increase knowledge and aid career progression (for example, by attaining professionally recognised qualifications)

Other firms

With regard to other firms, we will:

  • Strive for the highest integrity in our dealings with other firms
  • Ensure that we communicate with other professionals in an honest and open manner
  • Assess where we can reduce our environmental impact in our communications with other firms (for example, communicating electronically as opposed to sending postal correspondence where possible)
